In collaboration with the Taichung Public Library, this book exhibition serves as a prelude to the opening of the Green Beauty Library at the end of 2025. The main exhibition is held at the main library, followed by tours through various district branches in Taichung until the Green Beauty Library's opening.
The visual design features refined details through illustrations that embrace white space, tranquility, and composure. The scenes include books shaped like the Green Beauty Library's architecture, people living leisurely within, park flora and fauna, and a Koelreuteria tree growing from a book displaying different seasonal landscapes. We've also created charming installations, and we welcome everyone to visit the Taichung Public Library during the exhibition to explore the books curated by Zi Bookstore for this exhibition.
The exhibition's structure extends from the three Chinese characters of "Green Beauty Library," divided into three sub-themes: "Green Seeds - Books Begin as Seeds," "Beauty of Light - Nourishment for Light-seeking Readers," "Forest of Images - The Scent of Walking Through a Forest of Books," plus "8 Things to Know About the Green Beauty Library," making four sections in total.
Through the exhibition design, we aim to give the public an initial understanding of the Green Beauty Library. Through book selection, we hope to inspire library readers to envision and anticipate the library's future. The book selection follows three criteria: preferring green-colored book covers, prioritizing Taichung authors and Taichung-related works, and revealing the universe hidden within forests.
